A massive week all round!!

The adventure of this week started with me moving into college. With this came O week!!However training prevented me form experiencing the alcohol side of things, I still managed to have heaps of hilarious fun and meet some pretty cool people!!The week ranged from nuddie runs, boot camp, dressing up, dancing, laughing and acting like 12 year- olds around the streets of North Adelaide!!

(O week pics!)
The shock to the system of moving into my new humble a bow did not start off on the best foot, with my room only being double the size of my last room!!(The size of my last room only fitted a bed and had an arm’s length circumference around it!)...All went up hill from there with my orientation into my course going dandy (3 girls and 60 guys!!) fun year ahead, then landing a job at the bakery around the corner of where I live, then my other half of life cycling, brought even more to be happy about!!

In my world of bikes, I struggled this week with juggling being an 18 year old fresher at Lincoln College, new uni student, and training!!However I got through with a few very early mornings, and very late dinners I squeezed the best of both worlds into my day!!The week begun early with a struggle on Sunday, being on the bike for the first time after a week off after Oceania’s, I was in creeping city!!But I pushed on through this “stage” throughout the week, and finally just now I feel I’m back into the full swing of things!!Achieved by a planned SASI ride to hopefully not re-live the lows of last Sunday training, turned into a bar raising effort of my longest ride i have ever done!!A whooping 250k with an average of 30k/hr through the hills of Adelaide!! The new FELT bike should be thanked for its aerodynamics which I believe was the sole purpose I could hang off the wheel of the bunch revved up by the boys!!Hanging in for this ride has given me an extra spark in my training, my body is tried now and I will defiantly be a broken unit come tomorrow although my head and eagerness at the week ahead of training certainly won’t be!!

Till next Sunday, where I will hopefully have a race report for...

Ange : )
