All is still going swell at camp. The training has started and the first day was good and solid. The girls were divided into teams and practicing lead outs and sprinting were thrown into the mix!!My team consisted of Chloe Mac, Lou, and Carlee and with a disadvantage form the start with everyone in the group bar one not being a sprinter...we were in for struggle! Although we pulled through nicely coming 3rd overall in the competition!!
Since last update the recovery pool has been hit up twice by the girls in the house and it was to say the least bloody cold!!!All girls concerned weren’t quite so chirpy once out of the hot relaxing tub, and into freezing water, however knowing that this will help soften the throb of our legs in the days to come, everyone proceeded in discomfort and the notion of not being able to feel your toes!
Last night was the final night that we were being monitored in case something went wrong i the house while at altitude. Everyone made it through night 2 without dramas! I don’t feel any different at altitude to be honest, but they say that many reap the benefits, only time will tell on this one!
(the altitude computer and a picture taken in the wee hours of the morning looking at my HR and another number which means im still alive!)
Shortness is due to my desk calling for me to do uni work...tell next time
