Yes, I abandoned my BlogSpot page after AIS Altitude Camp, to focus a little more on my bike, uni and other fun stuff! But now that everything is flowing nicely I thought it’s time to bring my blogging up to date!
Since Camp my year to be honest thus far has not lived up to the expectations I set myself at the start of the year. No excuses, I just have not got the results I wanted.
So to overcome this dilemma, which is putting a hold on my big dream of “pro-cyclist”, I needed to sit down and figure out where I was going wrong! The answer has nothing to do with metal, or ability to apply myself, for those who know me; I put in the training time and ALL the little extras.
The answer is strength! My pins need some beefing up to put it bluntly, give a little of that light weight climbing ability for a bit of grind on the flat! - This is to become my focus from now till my next tour in Victoria in a couple months!
So now where all on the same page as to what I’m focusing on in the short term, I better provide you with an action packed South Australian Road Race Championships race report!!
What a race!!.....well 7 girls...2min before start brought down to 5 due to two missing the start...75k of undulating terrain with two nice little hills + some drizzle and wind!!So not the best start, and for me personally having a week break after the Geelong Tour, I was in no state of hoping for winning glory, however I was willing to give it a go! The race stayed together pretty well, until the last lap when Carly Light (powerhouse, rocket sensation..... and one of my TP) and Amber Halliday broke away!!As my legs screamed “you should not have played b/ball on Wednesday”, I just couldn’t go with!!nevertheless the race up ahead went on, Carly rolling Amber over the line in a slightly up hill sprint finish, then Bec doing the same to me 1 minute behind the two leaders, Liz G rolling in shortly after that.
The race was over and I still had one and a half days off...Yep no training what so ever before Monday... when its ALL back on! So I did what I love to do best after a race and went dinning with my best mates, ATE ALOT OF FOOD, and to top it all off Chris and I zipped down to Victor Harbour, for the night/rest of weekend!
Summing up a fantastic week off, and ready and raring to go for training on the bike, and GYM!
Till next time
Angela :)
PS. I will try and update my blog every Sunday at the minimum, and if I’m racing or other fun exciting stuff is going on in my life, you people will be the first to know!
PSS. Pics to come.

Ange, Great blog. You're dedication is inspiring! What gym you going to? I joined the Goodlife in North Adelaide Village. Love it. 6 days a week! Should catch up for a coffee this week or next, pop around any time, after all - we are neighbours!
