Camp altitude is coming to an end. We have just over one week left, and despite being here for a tad over 4 weeks, it does not seem this way at all!!Time has flown riding, eating and sleeping!!We have started our taper for the 3rd round of testing next week, which will be followed by the Canberra Tour! The treasure at the end of the rainbow comes once the tour is done and dusted, with all the girls being highly excited about the cook up at the end of the camp. All our hard work over the stove’s in nutrition class, is coming together to show off and impress what we have learnt about cooking over the 6 weeks that we have been here!!..(a detailed blog about this day will be posted!)
So the legs have not quite finished their work yet, however riding my bike is not the only thing I have been doing. Spratt, Chlo and I jumped the gun on cooking food on Monday (the day of the big cook up), and spent this afternoon baking in the nutrition departments kitchen!!Everyone benefiting from our solid efforts that afternoon at the oven!!
(me and chlo with da banana cake!; the workplace ; the eating process of the best slice ever!)
(spratt cleaning!; me and spratt with the slice pre- greatness; spratt)
The afternoon was topped off with the usual activity of recovery centre!!and thanks to Sarah Roy you are able to see what we talk about, when we mean it’s bloody cold in there!!Although the numbness feeling is eased with the anticipation of the spa!!Nevertheless as with everything on this camp, fun times do prevail!!
(Roy as if she was posing for an add!; me and carlee "bloody" taylor; chlo and rach; the girls walking in the cold!)
Till next time Angela :)
