Great day wasn’t it?!...To celebrate the team members that are based in Forli’ decided to do something out of this world, different and as ‘Kath and Kim’ would say ‘unusual’…we all headed out to eat pizza. Unfortunately this try hard Italian but very proud Aussie forgot her camera…I’ll let you imaginations tell the rest of the story.
As stated in my last blog I was going to do a team post with lost of photo’s, again I ask you to use you imaginations knowing that this post will one day arrive. Like the mail my so-called ‘friends’ said they would send me…you know who you are.
So apart from the lack of postman apearences, training has been rough. At the beginning of last week, I saw snow for the first time. It was ok to see the snow from riding the trainer for 3 days inside, but when I went out in the stuff it was a different story. The team came up for the weekend, and we battled 3days of riding in the mountains together bonding with each and the snow. It was freezing to say the least, but also pretty dam cool. Descending for 20mins while looking out at endless mountainsides, riding up bergs feeling like you’re in a stage of the Tour De France with the team care behind you.
By the new week the snow had cleared up. A coffee shop ride was in order, as well as a crack down on my uni studies. Monday went by fast and training went up a gear again once Tuesday arrived. The team is going great guns, and we are all looking forward to out first local flat race this weekend.
Will post a race report.
Till next time
Angela
Note: Photo's are in very random order!
Andrea slogging it out on the trainer while i sip my coffee.
Andrea and I enjoying the sun at last.
Guila feeding the dog chocolate, always a good thing...
My dirty bike that is yet to get any love, after this weekend's epic rides.
My powerhouse of devices...aka my life!
Uptil this day i have used a protein shaker given to me by Lou Kerr at AIS camp 2 years ago. The shaker didn't make the trip to Italy. So penguin has joined my close circle of friends.
A little bit in the mood of 'shit it is cold out here after a long ride, and me being all sweaty inside'.
And a quick note for those of you playing at home please comment if you have any ideas of what i could blog about, take photo's of etc!
